TUESDAY, 14TH – 4:30 PM Water Balloon Party! A great way to begin the school year.
7:00 PM Friends of the Library Meeting
Refreshments will be served. We’re getting ready for our next book sale on Nov. 20th. Used book donations are being accepted now!
Thursday, 16th – 7:00 PM “Book Club Meeting” We’ll be selecting which books we are going to read. Everyone who comes will be entered in a special drawing for a DVD player!
Tuesday, 21st - 6:30 PM Join us on the Connecticut Author Trail with the book, “Smoke, Fire and Angels” Come listen to the dramatic inside story of the Avon Mountain crash by survivor and author Mark Robinson. Books will be available for purchase. Refreshments will be served.
Thursday, 23rd – 6:30 PM Everyone is invited to join the staff of the library at the Cabaret Theatre in the Mohegan Sun for the finale of the Connecticut Authors Trail with Donald Bain, author of Murder She Wrote. This event is free!
Saturday, 25th – 11:30 - 1:30 Help us celebrate Jack Allen’s birthday! Mr. Allen, a local artist and author will be discussing his new book! A light luncheon and birthday cake will be served.
Tuesday, 28th – 6:30 PM Children’s Author, Jason Deeble, will join us to talk about his book “Sir Ryan’s Quest”! A fun family program for all ages.
Save the Date! South Windham Block Party Saturday, October 9th 2 PM – 10PM. Historical Home Tours, Fire Trucks, Hosmer soda, Dunkin Donuts, popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones, free parking, carnival games, crafts, face painting, balloon artist, bike parade, bounce house, and the POM DJ!
